Louga Region

Located in northwest Senegal, the Louga region sits approximately 50 kilometers inland from the Atlantic coast and serves as a significant agricultural hub. With a population of over 1.1 million people as of the 2023 census, the area is administratively divided into three departments centered around the city of Louga.
