Kaolack Region

Located in western Senegal along the Saloum River, the Kaolack region serves as a vital agricultural hub and transit point between Dakar and Banjul. Known historically as the Saalum Kingdom, it is a major center for peanut marketing, fishing, and the Ibrahimiyyah branch of the Tijaniyyah Sufi order.
