Département des Nippes

Located on the Tiburon Peninsula in southern Haiti, Nippes is the country's smallest and most recently established department, having been carved out of Grand'Anse in 2003. Its capital, Miragoâne, serves as the administrative center for this region, which holds the distinction of being the least populous department in the nation.
