Omaheke

Located in eastern Namibia on the border with Botswana, the Omaheke Region serves as the western extension of the Kalahari Desert and is the country's least populous area. Its capital, Gobabis, anchors this sparsely populated region, which is named for the Otjiherero word for sandveld.
