Located in southern Iran's Region 2, Hormozgan Province spans 70,697 square kilometers with a capital in Bandar Abbas, serving as a strategic gateway facing the Persian Gulf and neighboring Oman and the United Arab Emirates. This coastal region encompasses 1,000 kilometers of shoreline and 14 islands, supporting a population of over 1.7 million who primarily speak Southwestern Iranian languages alongside Balochi and Gulf Arabic.
