Established as one of Burkina Faso's 13 administrative regions, Centre-Sud encompasses the provinces of Bazèga, Nahouri, and Zoundwéogo with its capital in Manga. As the nation's least populous region, it held a population of 788,341 in 2019, accounting for 3.84% of the country's total inhabitants while maintaining a low Human Development Index of 0.432.
