Tete Province

Located in northwestern Mozambique, Tete is a vast province of 98,417 km² home to the massive Cahora Bassa Dam and a population exceeding 2.6 million. As the region's capital, the city of Tete serves as the administrative center for this area, which ranks 10th out of 11 provinces in the country's Human Development Index.
