Privacy Policy
Your data, your location, and how we protect it.
Last Updated: March 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Linkees. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our website, mobile application, and the Linkees Geo-RAG AI services.
The Golden Rule of Location Data
Linkees is fundamentally a geospatial network. When you drop a Beacon or utilize the "Live Map" feature, we collect your precise GPS coordinates to anchor your content to the physical world. You can always browse the directory anonymously without sharing your location.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Username, email address, and profile biography when you register.
- Geospatial Data: GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) attached to Beacons you intentionally drop.
- User Content: Photos, videos, and text comments uploaded to the map.
- Usage Data: IP addresses, browser types, and device identifiers collected automatically for security.
3. AI Processing & The Knowledge Graph
Linkees utilizes advanced local Artificial Intelligence (Geo-RAG) to generate anonymous "Vibe Checks," historical summaries, and geographic context for cities and places.
Your personal identity is never processed by third-party AI scrapers. User-generated text and public map interactions may be vectorized into our internal, sandboxed Knowledge Graph to improve local recommendations for everyone.
4. Cookies & Personalization
We use secure cookies to maintain your login session. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to Linkees.
5. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your account, beacons, and location history.
- Opt-out of specific data processing features.
To exercise these rights, please visit your Profile Settings or contact our support team.
