Hela

Established in 2012 as a new province of Papua New Guinea, Hela was carved out of the Southern Highlands and features Tari as its capital. This region, covering over 10,000 square kilometers, is notable for its significant oil and natural gas reserves and a population exceeding 249,000 as of the 2011 census.
