North Governorate

Tripoli serves as the capital of North Governorate, one of Lebanon's two northern governorates, which covers an area of 1,236.8 square kilometers. The region's population stands at approximately 807,204, though recent data indicates a figure of 731,251, and it has been without a governor since Ramzi Nohra was dismissed in May 2025.
