Salavan Province

Located in southern Laos, Salavan is a province of 10,691 square kilometers with a population of approximately 442,200, situated in the historic Muang Mang region once inhabited by Mon-Khmer groups. Originally known as Saravan, the area was renamed in 1828 and serves as the capital of the same namesake city.
