Khammouane

Located in southern Laos with Thakhek as its capital, Khammouane province encompasses 16,315 square kilometers of forested mountainous terrain. This region is ecologically significant for hosting the Nakai-Nam Theun National Park, which supplies water to the Mekong and supports the Nam Theun 2 hydropower project.
