East Kalimantan

Straddling the eastern portion of Borneo, this Indonesian province serves as the location for the newly constructed national capital, Nusantara, and features Samarinda as its largest city. With a population exceeding four million and a vast area of over 127,000 square kilometers, East Kalimantan remains one of Indonesia's most resource-rich and least densely populated regions.
