Central Papua

Established in July 2022, Central Papua is a province in Western New Guinea that encompasses the snow-capped Puncak Jaya, the highest peak in Indonesia, and the massive Grasberg gold mine. The region features diverse geography ranging from the coral-rich waters of Teluk Cenderawasih National Park to the swampy terrain of its southern port cities.
