Region Zealand

Established on 1 January 2007, Region Zealand encompasses the southernmost parts of Denmark's largest island alongside Lolland, Falster, and Møn, comprising 17 municipalities with a population exceeding 850,000. Serving as a vital administrative hub with Roskilde as its largest city, this region is set to merge with the Capital Region of Denmark in 2027 to form the new Region of Eastern Denmark.
