Capital Region of Denmark

Established in 2007 as Denmark's easternmost administrative region, the Capital Region encompasses the national capital, Copenhagen, and 29 municipalities. It serves as the country's economic hub with a 2023 GDP of €161 billion and is scheduled to merge with Region Zealand in 2027 to form the Region of Eastern Denmark.
