Mayabeque

Established on January 1, 2011, Mayabeque Province is one of two new administrative divisions carved from the former La Habana Province, with its capital located in San José de las Lajas. Spanning 3,732.73 square kilometers, the region encompasses ten municipalities and holds the third-highest Human Development Index ranking among Cuba's sixteen provinces.
