Ciego de Avila

Separated from Camagüey Province in 1976, Ciego de Ávila is a Cuban province with a capital of the same name situated along the central highway. The region encompasses an area of 6,946.90 square kilometers and has a population of over 503,000, making it the seventh province in Cuba by Human Development Index.
