Cuvette-Ouest Department

Located in the western part of the Republic of the Congo, Cuvette-Ouest is the nation's least populated department and borders both Gabon and three other Congolese provinces. The region, which has served as the site for several Ebola virus outbreaks, is anchored by its capital, Ewo.
