Kampong Cham

Established as a province on January 1, 1885, Kampong Cham serves as a vital hub on the central lowlands of the Mekong River, hosting a population of over 1.06 million people across 4,549 square kilometers. Following a significant administrative division on December 31, 2013, the region retained its western territories while the eastern lands formed the new Tbong Khmum province, solidifying its status as a key economic and cultural center in Cambodia.
