Karuzi

Karuzi Province, a former administrative region of Burundi with a 2008 population of 436,443 and an area of 1,457.40 square kilometers, was merged into Gitega Province in 2025. Its capital, also named Karuzi, served as the seat of government until this major provincial reform took effect.
