Bubanza

Formerly a distinct province in Burundi, Bubanza was administratively merged into the new Bujumbura Province in 2025 following major national reforms. The region, which had Bubanza as its capital, covered an area of approximately 1,089 square kilometers with a population of roughly 338,000 as of the 2008 census.
