Kweneng District

Kweneng, the historical homeland of the Bakwena people and the site where David Livingstone first converted locals to Christianity, serves as Botswana's most populous district outside its two major cities. With a population of nearly 388,000 and a seat of government in Molepolole, the region is defined by its rich cultural heritage, including Livingstone's Cave and the Manyana rock paintings.
