Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Established by the 1994 Washington Agreement, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina serves as one of the two primary political entities within the sovereign state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, comprising ten autonomous cantons with Sarajevo as its capital. This entity, which occupies roughly half of the country's territory, features a distinct government structure with its own president, parliament, and armed forces that existed independently until merging into the national military in 2005.
