Toledo District

Located as Belize's southernmost and least populated district, Toledo features a diverse landscape of rainforests, cave networks, and coastal plains while serving as a cultural hub for Mopan, Kekchi Maya, Garifuna, and Creole communities. Despite its low population of approximately 38,000, the region ranks as the country's second most developed area according to the Human Development Index, with Punta Gorda serving as its administrative capital.
