Syunik Province

Located as Armenia's southernmost province, Syunik shares borders with Azerbaijan, Iran, and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic while featuring a diverse landscape that includes the historic Tatev Monastery and the Aras River. With its administrative capital in Kapan, the region recorded a population of 114,488 in the 2022 census, reflecting a significant demographic shift from previous decades.
