Biskra
Located on the northern edge of the Algerian Sahara, Biskra Province is a semi-arid region in Algeria known for its oases and the high-quality Deglet Nour dates produced in the Tolga district. Situated south of the Atlas Mountains, the province serves as a gateway to the Aurès mountains and was home to the historic city of Biskra until administrative changes in 2019 created the new Ouled Djellal Province.
