Helmand Province

Spanning 58,584 square kilometers, Helmand is Afghanistan's largest province and a historically significant region known for its opium production and strategic military importance. Located in the south, it features the vital Helmand River and Kajaki Dam while serving as a major center for agriculture and a focal point of conflict during the 2001–2021 war.
