Baghlan Province

Located in northeastern Afghanistan, Baghlan is a province of approximately 21,118 square kilometers with a population exceeding one million, centered around its capital, Puli Khumri. The region is historically significant for the ruins of the Zoroastrian fire temple at Surkh Kotal and was once led by a Hungarian Provincial Reconstruction Team from 2006 to 2015.
